It is used in a great deal of arabic dishes and salads.
It’s best friends with onions and stings with a lemony zest.
Sumac is also added to the za’atar spice mixture.
Ingredients: Sumac berries.
Flavor: Zingy and lemony and somewhat fruity.
Color & Texture: Purplish-red powdered spice.
Usage: Marinades and spice rubs, chicken and meat recipes, saladas.
Best Friends: Onions, Vegetables.
