The deal with dill is that it is one of those herbs that takes over the dish, so give him the stage.

In this easy rice recipe we will first make the rice at it’s most simple form and then, while the rice is still hot we’ll add the chopped dill and olive oil.

As you will notice I did not wash or soak the rice first.
I’ve learned that it doesn’t change much if the rice is good.

Steps

1
Done

Prepare the Rice

Heat a medium saucepan. When hot add 2 tablespoons of canola oil.

Add the 1.5 cups of rice and a flat teaspoon of salt, fry for 3-4 minutes.

Add 3 cups of water (room temperature), stir lightly (once) and cover.

When boiling (after about 5 minutes), lower the flame and wait for 10-13 minutes.
Turn off flame, the rice should be done. Let sit for 5 minutes and move to next step.

Deal With the Dill

Wash the dill and cut of the stems (you can do this while rice is cooking)
Chop the dill to thin pieces.

3
Done

Combine

After you've waited for 5 minutes for the rice to set (it should still be very hot).
Place the chopped dill on top of the rice, add about 4 tablespoons of olive oil and mix.
Done. Enjoy!
